EU-FamPro at the first CERV (Civil Dialogue WEEK) organized by the European Commission.

The European Commission has decided to fund research in the field of active citizenship, promotion of fundamental rights with specific programs dedicated to social sciences.
To illustrate the new programmes, the European Commission has organized from 25 May to 28 May 2021 the First CERV (Civil Dialogue Week) an entirely digital event attended by hundreds of European researchers engaged in the fight against discrimination, in the development of gender policies, in the protection of citizens's; rights and more generally in the development of a society increasingly marked by respect for European values expressed by the Charter of Fundamental Rights.
CERV's plenary session was opened by the European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders, by Alice Kuhnke Member of the European Parliament, responsible for the CERV Programme, and saw, among others, the speeches by Debbie Kohner, Secretary General of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI), by Alexandrina Najmowicz, Co-president of the Convention for the Future of Europe and by Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Eurochild.
Professor Lucia Ruggeri, Director of the School of Specialization in Civil Law of the University of Camerino, as coordinator of the European Consortium EU-FamPRO (E-training on EU Family Property Regimes) was invited to participate to develop in specific one-to-one sessions new partnerships and especially to meet the officials of the European Commission who will manage CERV's new programmes.
Europe's "Justice" Programme provides a significant opportunity for the growth of a legal culture within the EU borders, but above all it consolidates relationships and allows cross-sectoral exchanges. In fact the "Justice"; Programme promotes mutual knowledge among many legal professionals who, with different roles, have the important task to help European citizens and couples living and working in different countries from those of origin.
